ADVANCED SNORKELLER THEORY LESSONS


Thank you to those who have attended our first couple of theory lessons for the Advanced Snorkeller course.
Lecture 3 will be held on Saturday 9th February at 14:30 but will take a break on 16th February in time for the school holidays.
Lectures will then resume in the first week of period 2 on Saturday 2nd March - get ready for some compass work!
Friday 28th December 2018

POOL SESSIONS RESUME ON SATURDAY 12TH JANUARY


We are currently on break for the duration of the Christmas holidays. Pool sessions will resume on Saturday 12th January for our first period of the year lasting 6 weeks.

​Also on Saturday 19th January at 2pm we will be holding our Annual General Meeting to which all are welcome to attend. During this time we will be discussing last year's successes and open the floor to feedback on ways in which the club could be improved. We will also be electing (or re-electing) our branch officials - club members can put themselves forward for any of these roles.


We hope to see many of you there.
Saturday 21st July 2018

POOL SESSIONS RESUME ON SATURDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER


We are currently on break for the duration of the school's Summer holidays. Pool sessions will resume on Saturday 8th September for our fifth period of the year lasting 6 weeks.

Our Open Water trip to Eccleston Delph was a success. Everyone in attendance had fun and are already looking forward to next year's trip. Thank you to all the parents that made the effort to drive out to the Delph, take pictures and assist with shore side cover. We will be uploading a selection of photos to the Gallery over the coming weeks.

POOL SESSIONS RESUME ON SATURDAY 21ST APRIL (AND SNORKEL DIVER THEORY)


We are currently on break for the duration of the school's Easter holidays. Pool sessions will resume on Saturday 21st April for our third period of the year lasting 6 weeks.

Also, as a reminder to those who are working towards the Snorkel Diver Certificate, theory lessons will begin on Saturday 28th April and run for 4 sessions through to 19th May. Each one will commence at 14:45 - please make sure you are on time.

AGM ON SATURDAY 20TH JANUARY AT 2PM

LAST POOL SESSION ON SATURDAY 9TH DECEMBER


This coming Saturday will be the last pool session of period 6 as after that we will be on a 4 week break for the duration of the Christmas holidays. Pool sessions will then resume on Saturday 6th January for the first period of 2018 which will last 7 weeks. You will find our full schedule for next year on our Training Programme page.

SNORKEL LIFESAVER THEORY LESSONS


Thank you to those who attended our first theory lesson for the Snorkel Lifesaver course.
For those that missed any of the 3 lectures the first time we ran them last month, you are welcome to attend the upcoming sessions.
Next week we will pick up with the second lecture at 14:45 which will focus on 
Lifesaving and General First Aid.
​On Saturday 25th November we will be running with the third and final lecture that will focus on Respiration.

LAST POOL SESSION ON SATURDAY 14TH OCTOBER


This coming Saturday will be the last pool session of period 5 as after that we will be on a 2 week break for the duration of the school's Half-Term holidays. Pool sessions will then resume on Saturday 4th November for our sixth and final period of the year lasting 6 weeks.

LAST POOL SESSION ON SATURDAY 15TH JULY


This coming Saturday will be the last pool session of period 4 as after that we will be on an 8 week break for the duration of the school's Summer holidays. Pool sessions will then resume on Saturday 9th September for our fifth period of the year lasting 6 weeks.

 CANCELLED POOL SESSION - SATURDAY 24TH JUNE


Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to cancel the pool session which was due to take place on Saturday 24th June.

Pool sessions will resume for period 4 on Saturday 10th June as planned with the last session taking place on Saturday 15th July.

 CANCELLED POOL SESSION - SATURDAY 20TH MAY


Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to cancel the pool session which was due to take place on Saturday 20th May. Please note that the last pool session of period 3 will now be on Saturday 13th May.

Pool sessions will resume for period 4 on Saturday 10th June as planned.

LAST POOL SESSION ON SATURDAY 8TH APRIL


This coming Saturday will be the last pool session of period 2 as after that we will be on a 2 week break for the duration of the school's Easter holidays. Pool sessions will then resume on Saturday 29th April for our third and shortest period of the year lasting 4 weeks.

Also, as a reminder to those who are working towards the Open Water Snorkel Diver certificate, the second theory lesson is being held before this weeks pool session from 14:45. Please make sure you are on time.

POOL SESSIONS RESUME ON SATURDAY 4TH MARCH


Yesterday was our last pool session for period 1 and we are now on break for the duration of the school's half-term holidays. Pool sessions will resume on Saturday 4th March for our second period of the year lasting 6 weeks.

We would also request that all snorkellers bring in a set of clothes they feel comfortable wearing in the pool (yes, this could even be pyjamas) on Saturday 11th March. These will be used as part of an activity in our Snorkel Lifesaver programme that will be commencing that week.

WELCOME BACK AND A (BELATED) HAPPY NEW YEAR


We just want to welcome all of our Warrington Snorkellers back to the club. As a reminder this period will consist of 6 weeks running up to (and including) Saturday 11th February.

Over the next few weeks we will be working towards each of our next levels of BSAC snorkel qualifications, whether that is Dolphin Snorkeller, Snorkel Diver or even the branch's own course; Ocean / Open Water Snorkel Diver.

POOL SESSIONS RESUME ON SATURDAY 5TH NOVEMBER


As a reminder, the pool sessions for training period 6 will begin on Saturday 5th November at 3:30pm. This period will consist of 6 weeks running every Saturday up to and including 10th December.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEWLY QUALIFIED SNORKEL INSTRUCTORS!

Some of our long-standing members recently attended a BSAC Snorkel Instructor course that we hosted at Penketh Community Pool. We are very proud to say that they are now fully qualified instructors! Congratulations to:

Thank you to the amazing staff members at the pool who worked extra hours to allow this course to be run and also to the BSAC trainers who travelled from multiple locations to train up not just our members but also snorkellers from other clubs in the area.
